The Vikings' eastern connections, and the enormous gold treasure hoard from Vindelev, play the main roles in the exhibition 'Power and gold - Vikings in the east', which opens in Vejle in april, 2022.

The Vindelev treasure hoard with its saucer-sized gold medallions made headlines all over the world in september 2021. Starting April 7 2022 it will be exhibited in Vejle, Denmark.

The Vejle Museums exhibits the magnificent find and tells the story of the prelude to the Viking Age and Harald Bluetooth's alliances in present-day Poland.

Simon Brinck has made a thorough composed sound design and musical environment for every room in the exhibition. The sound is syncronized between the rooms and is made as one large composition. A harp in a room can play a melody on top of music heard from the next room, and all of a sudden the music stops and the sound of rain appears in both rooms etc.

Every visitor will have a different auditive experience and will not experience loops, since the total composition is one hour long.

The exhibitions opens 7th of april, 2022.
